help please!

When i did my 4.3 to 6.0 swap i retained the 4l60e tranny just had it beefed up to the max by Jerry(jerry's transmissions). however i had to modify my 6.0/4l80e harness to make it all work with the 4l60e. now i have a chance to buy a 5.3 harness from the same year with the 4l60e wiring harness on it. my temp gauge currently does not work(might have missed a wire when i rewired for the trans maybe a ground or something). i was wondering if the 6.0 and 5.3 require diff harnesses or if the 5.3/4l60e harness would plug right up to my 6.0/4l60e combo. if so it would prob fix my gauge issues. thoughts???

it will work, i changed my harness also, long story, but anyway just check the o2 sensor contections, mine were different on the harness i got, after looking it up the truck was from canada so i had to change o2 sensors, but besides that everything else was plug and play...

so u had to change the o2 sensors to the 5.3 ones? i cut off my 02 connectors on my 6.0 harness and made them work with my old v6 sensors but i dont think its working cuz im throwing o2 codes and the trucks running poorly...

no if not mistaken they are the same. the harness will plug right in ...

harness is the same...i have a 6.0 harness now that i re-worked to work with my 4l60e...swapping them would be no biggy....just check the o2 sensors to see if they will work or buy new ones if yours arent reading
