track times before ls6 intake swap

went to the 1/8 last night to get some times in the heat before my ls6 intake swap. had fun but was dissapointed with my times. the heat kicked my arse here are the times.

    all 1.79 60' times with one 1.80.

    8.05
    8.02
    8.03
    8.04
    all high 85 mph

the slips are in the truck and its too hot out to go get them haha. hopefully i get my 1.6x 60' times back this winter losing a little more than 2mph in the 1/8 too with this heat. oh well the times were consistant enough for a good comparison. ls6 intake swap goes down this week and hopefully i can have it on the track this coming friday or sunday in the same miserable heat

got some good progress in today. truck intake is off, new l92 water pump is on with all hoses attached, the ls6 has all of the the new gaskets in, new svo injectors installed along with the 97 vette fuel rail and new map sensor out back. tomorrow ill get the intake bolted down, power steering/alternator bracket off and myabe get to splice the wires for the ls1 style injectors. its all down hill from there.

im thinking about drilling and tapping the intake at the front runner for the fuel pressure regulator just for a cleaner look. any objections?

    almost done!

injector pigtails are wired up, power steering/alternator bracket is out waiting to be cut, the intake manifold/throttle body/intake are all hooked up. got the egr stuff routed too. all i need to do to finish it up is cut the idle pulley location off of the bracket, relocate the idle pulley, get the fuel lines run, figure out how im guna run the fuel pressure regulator, and the evap crap. also need to get a new brake booster line but thats no biggy.

this truck wiring harness is UGLY!

Stew--why are you keeping the EGR stuff? Why not just use a block off plate on the headers and plug up the intake? Are you using a stock FPR or an aftermarket adjustable one?
