    2003-2004 SSR Head Gaskets??

Has anyone ever used the SCE head gaskets to raise compression on the 5.3?

They only have a bore of 3.437 and compress to .032 that should bump the stock compression to almost 10:1 with no other changes.. Am I missing something here??

You know that the 2003 and 2004 SSR was an aluminum block motor, right? I would try and use factory gaskets but have the head milled to get the desired CR.

yep, I know they are aluminum blocks, but what does not make sense is that the head gasket bore is smaller than the block bore... I have been kicking around having custom gaskets made to match stock bore size that will compress to .032 then go with the prc stage 2.5 heads, mill them .030 and call it good. or I could just forget all this **** throw a 150 shot on my current setup and run it till she blows and then go 408.. head possibilities are endless at that point. .

Hmmmm...a NOS setup will be easier and cheaper, plus give you waaaay more power than what heads could do for ya...

It should be able to handle 150 shot for a nice long time.
