    Tires

hey does anyone know whats the widest tire i can fit on a 15x7 inch steel wheel. they are the stock wheels that came on my truck i was debating putting some drag radials on them for the track i want to run a 50 series sidewall but wasnt sure how much i could push the tread width i will probably run a 225/50/15 up front but i dont think that will be sufficient for the rear to hook up. hope someone can help. thanks guys!

i had 275 60 15 on my stockers with no problems, i didnt keep them though they were to short on my stock hight. that is the widest tire you can fit on the stockers. Thats what the books say at least..

well i think im going to try to get a pair of 454 ss wheels they are the same as the stock chevy steel wheels only 8 inches wide instead of 7 then i should be able to get a 275/50/15 on it. bf goodrich makes a et street tire or w/e in that size for 130$ a tire.
