    Post 4.3 to 02 ls1 swap

say i have a nbs truck and just picked up a 02 ls1 with 4l60 tranny wiring harness, and computer.... what all else do i need to put it in the truck..... yes i have read dlh's thread but that dosnt cover putting a car engine in....

i am trying to amass a list of parts that i need to get

    1) Truck oil pan
    2)truck pickup tube
    3) might get a truck wiring harness and wire it to the ls1 injectors.... (opinions?)

engine is complete down to the cats and T/A engine mounts. tranny is also complete... please reply..

ps: i have been on the forums for awhile now so ive done a good deal of research on pt.net ...etc... but cant find anyone who has done this swap in a nbs truck... that started with a 4.3 any and all help is appreciated.

    thanks guys!

I don't think you will need any of those things. Use the f-body parts.

yeah the 5.3 swap is much simpler swap than the ls1....and on the mounts you should be able to run 4.8/5.3 engine mounts and frame mounts.

you could also just use the truck style acceesories, and intake manifold so you wont have to modify anything.
