A Little Update

Well, some of you might remember the thread i started about wanting to change from dodge to chevy. I already had the lsx block at my house and almost closed the deal on an '04 rc/sb silverado.......and then i blew the motor in my truck......

I was so ready to make the change, and with the setup i had planned was ready to hopefully make some low 10's/high 9's in a truck.
So, for the price it would take to rebuild my motor and maybe transmission and then try to sell, it's just not worth it. I guess now instead of getting to join ya'll chevy guys i'm gonna have to stick with the hemi.
BUT, i still wanna bring some competion, SO....i'm getting a forged 370 along with either a 250shot of nitrous or turbo (havent made up my mind yet) If ya'll would like, i'll keep you updated with pics and some vids when it's completed. wont be able to start 'til the summer though b/c of school. also, some good news, there's finally somewhat of custom tuning for the hemi through SCT!!! sorry for long post, just though some would like an update.

So you are going to do a Hemi block and bore it .040 over? Are you going to sell the LSX block and build the Hemi block? How is your 545RFE holding up?

haha, thanks guys. there are a couple strokers that are running low 12's on motor. one's running 12.0's. he also ran an 11.4 on spray at like 120mph. i'll see if i can find a link. i'm going to keep my truck in full street trim so it wont be as fast as them. i like all my seats and my stereo. i'm hoping to run mid 12's though on motor and get some 10s on the 250 shot. the lsx block is already sold to one of my dad's friend. i tried to get to just build a badass race motor with it, but he loves his bigblocks. my motor is just going to be bored with forged internals. the trans is going to be built to handle 750hp. i'll see if i can find some links to the "couple" of fast hemi's. lol

Here's what's in one guys sig that has a 370 stroker. i'm pretty sure his truck is gutted though. i think his nitrous run was a 100shot. as you could see he had some traction problems. lol. i'll see if i can find a link to some track vids.

The cam in this 370 sounds much better!! also, here's a 0-95 vid. he has an '03, so no custom tuning for him, listen to it bounce off the limiter.
