    Nitrous refill in austin

Hey guys just wanted to inform you that NAPA auto parts on Lamar blvd refills nitrous bottles. $35 plus tax= $37... I was filling at austin performance, but I weighed my bottle empty then gave it to them and weighed it full, they skimped me about 2-3 pounds. dont know if it was on purpose or not but Im pretty sure a big company like NAPA wont skimp.

Your bottle may not have been totally empty. They dont fill till its 10#s heavier they fill till the bottle weighs 28#s(I believe 10# bottles are 18# empty). A hundred shot should last 4 good 0-120 pulls and half way through the 5th it should die out up top, unless you have a bottle heater then the 5th will be strong till the very end.

okay the best way to get a good bottle fill...before you go in the shop turn the bottle upside down and crack the valave open...move it side to side every few seconds you will see it's getting cold then when all the pressure is gone turn it back over and let the left over nitrous out....i have my bottles smoking they are so cold...all bottles will weigh 14-14.5lbs so full they will weigh 24-24.5lbs....they can overfill and get them up to about 30lbs but then the first couple of hit suck because the pressure drops off really quick

I gave it to them completely empty. it weighed 14.3lbs... i got it back it weighed 20.7 lbs... and the bottle was frozen too. Maybe they broke their scale? But NAPA does refill... takes about 10 mins for them to do it... unlike Austin performance who takes at least 1 hour or more.

Yep ive had them fill mine about 10 times now.

Only time I went to AP was when Napa's pump broke.

When I fill mine this is what I do.

Empty it ALL the way (especially if going to AP as I got a very bad fill with lots of air from them). Open the valve till nothing comes out.

If its nice and sunny out let it sit outside for a hour or so. I just use a heat gun as its faster. Get the bottle nice and hot then shut the valve. What this does is create a vacuum in the tank once it cools down. Let it cool to room temp then stick it in the FREEZER for a few hours, till it has a nice frost on it

Last time I did that and the guy there didnt even have to turn on there pump haha.
Plus it gets all the air out getting you a MUCH better fill. I noticed I can get around 8 full 0-120ish shots out of a tank before it stops purging n20. With AP's fill and just a regular empty bottle it was MAYBE 6.
