    Headers for 2002 1500HD 4x4 6.0?

I'm looking for some stainless headers that'll work on my build. I called Dynatech and they have them for the 1500 4x4 6.0....but said they don't have them for the HD. They said something about the frame being different. Can anyone help me out. Surely someone on here is running headers on a 4x4 HD 6.0....any and all help is appreciated.

IMHO--do coated Pacesetter Long Tubes. You can go stainless if you want to spend the extra $$$, but you can't beat Pacesetter for performance, longevity, and value.

Thanks Tx....but it looks like the same situation. I just got off the phone with Pacesetter and they're saying the same thing. They haven't done anything with the HD4x4 and can't tell me if they have anything.

This is kind of what I was wondering. I'm not familiar with these trucks enough yet to know one way or the other. So you're saying that if they have a set for the 4x4 6.0 then it will work on the HD? Would you care to educate me on the actual difference between the HD and the regular. I think I read somewhere that it was just the springs themselves....

A Chevy HD frame is consistent throughout the HD line, but there are a few things different--but the differences are so subtle that you'll never notice. The tires, wheelbase, springs, and shocks are all identical. The only difference in the 1500HD and 2500HD is the ride height, thickness of the rear brakes, frame thickness (.040"), and the GAWR (gross axle weight rating) for the rear end. Like I said, the differences are miniscule. The only real visual difference you can see is the ride height. From there, its all 99.99% the same--between the 1500HD and 2500 HD.

Actually I was more curious about the difference between the 1500 4x4 frame and the 1500HD 4x4 frame. That would give me a better clue as to what headers are out there for my app. Again...thanks for the help.

the HD frame is stronger...also should have 6-7 leaf springs in the back as opposed to 3...not real sure of the differences just know the headers will work without a doubt
