    injector cleaning?

ive read recently that you can clean youre injectors.can someone elaborate on this .it wasnt by adding inj cleaner to the tank.lol .it had something to do with hooking it up too a machine.my reason is i havent had a chance too get my new 60s yet ,and a couple of weeks ago i had 2 bad injs and i replaced the 2 42lbers ,they were gm parts so they cost me 140 bucks each from dealer.i really dont want to deal with ordering and installing the clips and 60s yet so i thought if this was possible ide give it a try .im not even sure if this is so or not but i read a thread somewere that a guy was going too put them on the machine and give m a cleaning.let me know what yas think thanks ahead.o my friend down the rd has a big snap on machine that you add liquid and test inj with ,could this be the same thing.?

decarbonizing the engine... they plug into fuel rail and shoot a "cleaner" through your injectors. Yea, it'll bring some life back. Also, seafoam her as$.

Sorry I just have to add.
Do not SEAFOAM into the intake manifold. There is nothing to atomize the liquid. If you could put it in before the throttle plate it might work.
I sure you had that figured out.
PS those CC Roller Rockers you sold me are working like they are supposed to. Thanks

Guys--Seafoam works great if you do it the correct way. Some people have not performed the Seafoam technique correctly, hence creating problems. Seafoam does not clean the injectors unless you put the bottle in your gas tank. You can somewhat clean out your intake by pouring small amounts into an intake vacuum line... The best way to clean out your injectors is to take the injectors out and soak them in a warm cleaning solution (preferably fuel injector cleaner). Or you can have them sent off and have them cleaned. Either way, you should have the injectors taken out and thoroughly cleaned every 60K or so...

Is it the # 7 and #5 injectors? Those are prone to clogging more than others...I think. I would go check your fuel filters again first. Once you get those clean, purge your fuel rails with the Schrader valve, disconnect fuel lines, pop off the rails, and then the injectors. Soak the rails and injectors in a warm contact cleaning solution for a while. Every 10-15 minutes, take them out and lightly tap on them... Then after an hour of solid soak time, take them into the sink and flush with warm/hot water..and even reverse flush them. Once they are clean (and if you are brave enough), blow on them and try to see if you can get them to whistle. If you can get a constant whistle pitch, then they are clean. Try and swab the rails as best as you can--and get the rail nipples with a Q-tip... Hehe...I said nipple...
