    4.8 to ls1 0r 6.0 ?

    i have a 2000 rcsb with a 4.8 i want to put a ls1 or 6.0 which is the best way to go and what would i need. like diff trannys? what year 6.0 or ls1 do i need. and can i plug and play tryin to keep it as simple as possible

    6.0 would be the simplist. Everything will bolt right up.

    you will have to swap the flywheels out if you want to keep using your 4L60E. there is a spacer on the 6.0 that is not needed (it is for the 80E). just take the 6.0 flywheel off, thread two bolts into the spacer then rotate it and it comes off. now bolt up your 4.8 flywheel and your golden

    oh yeah, get a 01+ 6.0. the older ones have a diff crank so the 60E wont fit i belive
