    plans for the TBSS

well, i have been reading over on the TBSS forum and they are having problems with the superchips tune and CAI they run too lean and knock. probably from being leaned out by the tune and then more lean from the colder air.
i want to get a catback and CAI and tune right away. or as fast as i can sneak them past my wife. hehe. she wont notice a CAI or tune but will def notice a catback. oh and i have a question about the trans. does anyone think that synthetic fluids will help it last or upping the line pressure. most people are burning up their bands. so i think synthetics don't burn as easily. and flushing the trans and changing the fluids more often will help too right?

I would get a trans temp sensor and monitor myself. I believe the syn fluid is more resilient to thermal breakdown and can keep it's lubricity longer over a period of like heat vs a non-syn fluid breaking down and losing 'oiling properties.'

Yeah, Corsa is probably the best exhaust for the TBSS. It is badass... The Corsa is pretty mild until get step into it, so if you could keep the revs down while she is in it, then you should be able to fly under the wifey radar... I haven't heard anything about them running lean... That is all about the tune, not about the CAI. Actually, the air intake on that thing is really restrictive to under the hood, so it gets a lot of heat soak... There is a free mod you can do to get more outside air to the filter...the slot in the grille between the headlight and blinker...pop the grille off and drill out the opening--but keep the mesh insert... It will get some more fresh air coming in.
