Thread: MAF part #'s

    Well I just got a MAF off a guy on Ebay who said it was a Z06 MAF that wasn't descreened. He bought it for his TransAm and never installed it. He said he descreened it after he got it. I buy it and get it in and it looks like the same exact MAF on my truck. I have a dealership check the numbers and they are the same part numbers. Are the MAF's on the 02 trucks the same size as a 2001 Z06 MAF? Did I waste my hard earned pay on this POS? It is snowing here so I can't go out and tell if there is any difference in it or not. Help!

    The Z06 and the truck MAF share the same part numbers, the only difference is the Z06 MAF is descreened from the factory.

    So are they the same size, 85mm? If so then I pretty much wasted my time and money? What is the big deal with Z06 MAFs then?
