    Posi Swap

    I'm about to buy an Eaton Posi to put in and wanted to make sure I bought the correct one. Is this it:eBay Motors: EATON POSI 10 BOLT 8.5 GM CHEVY GMC CAR TRUCK SBC SB 4x (item 110163222783 end time Sep-06-07 19:00:00 PDT)

    This should go well with my ET Streets!!

    Thats wierd, it lists the 30 spline part number, but when it says it "fits the following" it doesnt list your year of truck.. You might want to check up on that by calling, just to make sure.

    Yours will be the 30 spline, but call to make sure that they have the EXACT one...

    I confirmed that they have the exact one, but the guy said that I might need a bearing kit. Should I get this or is it ok to reuse? Keep in mind, I'd rather spend a little now as opposed to a lot later!

    Well, how many miles? How much abuse has it taken? Depending on those factors, you make the call, but I do like your way of thinking---"I'd rather spend a little now as opposed to a lot later!" If you had really, really low miles amd drove like my grandmother, then I'd say keep them. But I'd go ahead and get the new bearings...IMO...

    That's what I figured! Better safe than sorry! I've got a little over 70k on it right now and it's been driven not hard but definitely not like a grandma. Thanks for the input!
