gas mileage

I've heard that gearing can affect gas mileage-- so can anybody recommend the best gear setup to maximize gas.I have 03 Tahoe with stock 3.73 and 305/45/22.

The lower the number the better the gas mileage but worse acceleration. I will gladly swap you my 3.42s for better gas mileage . Will even give you a little cash too!
