going with a new cam ( need help deciding)

this is my set up,5.3l motor, dynatech LTs, dual Xed 3" piped exhuast all the way (no cats) vic jr intake, port and polished throttle body, ported and polished stage 2 heads, #42 injectors, 3200 stall, 373 gears, auburn pro series LSD,E-fans, 34" rad., the cam i have now is a 224/224/581/581/lsa112 ( billy and myself think there might be a grind problem gonna solve it this coming weekend when i head to arlington) trying to decide if i should change cam size or stick with the same one..

question is what would you run.. myself i am thinking something like 222/224/568/568/lsa112 but not foresure thus the reason i am asking looking for a little more down low HP/tq right now its a dog down low but hauls a$$ up top.. also would you go to a 3400/3600 stall, i only drive this truck 3 or 4 times a week ( if its not raining lol), winter months it would be driven every work day...

also thinking of milling the heads for more compression, ( not sure yet)

anyway some thoughts on this would be nice, it would help ease my decission...

basically if you had this set up would would you do!!!!!

Dave, the cam you have now is pretty well suited for your mods, IMO. The LSA might be too low--a 114 might work better. Since your motor is setup to breathe well in the upper RPM's, you need to run a .563 or higher for intake/exhaust... Also, considering you want some extra power down low, have a few degrees of advanced timing ground into the cam. That will allow the powerband to come into play slightly sooner... The 3200 stall should work awesome for your truck also--I wouldn't change it... I would get the cam grind issue resolved ASAP... Who did your tune? Have your tuner rework a few things if you can go do a live tune...

dustin will be doing the tune sense i will ( truck) will be in arlington this weekend yeah youre right on the cam, talked to billy today we are gonna spec somethings out, the degree you mentioned on the lsa is exactually what we have discussed..and the advanced timing.. some other things are gonna change since we are also discussing new aftermarket rockers and some different lifters and milling the heads some... wanting to get the compression up, then in the fall billy will be boring the block to a 347...

p.s. thanks for the comment it helps believe it or not

Oh, stop it...you are making me blush...
I am sure Dustin will get the tune done right once you get the cam and accessories finalized. It should run really well up top!
