99 silvy Diablo programmer on a 98 vette?

So here is the deal...i need a nelson tune so i have to sell my Predator programmer. the tuners are said to work on silverados, corvettes, and some other chevy vehicles within the year but diablo sport didn't make a 98 chevy programmer so i was wondering if that year earlier would work. A 98 vette with a 99 tuner. My friend has a 98 vette and he would buy it off of me if it worked but we don't really want the pcm to go to S#!T.

I had a similar situation with my parents diablo when they had a programmer setup for there 06 gto after they sold the goat they were wanting to use the same programmer on there 06 vette, They told them that all they have to do is download a new setup on the tuner by going to one of there local dealers ...
