ok i stayed up till after midnight installing my new procharger. and put in the new nelson tune. well i took it out today and found out i can only get 5-6 psi, right up to redline. and this is suposed to be a 8-9 kit. i swear that pulley is enormous. is there a chance they have the wrong pulley. theres no way im getting boost leak, all the pipes have beads, and are real tight. the stock bypass sucked so i did install the RFL off my talon, sounds reeeeal sick. but the stock bypass was letting everything recirc. like it wasnt closing. i dont know but im not too happy with the kit, now on the other hand the procharger is freaking crazy. even 5-6 is crazy. and even off idle with no boost it gets mid-evil on the tires. and up around 4500 it pulls hard. but i think my sub may still be able to take the silvy. and i dont have the meth on yet. so i like the power but want all 9psi of it.

I would double check the pulley ratio. A 3.4 or so would only get you about 6 psi. To get 9 psi, you would need a 3.0-3.1. Since you installed everything, go ahead and double check all of your connections for leaks, unplugged connectors, loose clamps, etc. If the BOV from the Talon worked well, stay with that. I am sure the only difference is the fact that it sounds louder... Just make sure it is big enough--compressor surge is a bitch and can wear the components down quickly. If I am not mistaken, the Procharger blows through a MAF. I'd run a BOV and not run the bypass valve into the atmosphere. The only thing you need to do to get 9 psi is to get a smaller pulley...

Ummm, not to second guess but...

I run a 3.6 pulley and shift about 6,100 RPM and see 9-10 pounds on a 6.0L I would guess you are on the 4.0 pulley. The stock pulleys are notorious for slipping, that is why all of my pulleys are Reichard Racing ultra grip grooved pulleys with a Gatorback belt.

I do vent to atmosphere instead of back into the intake side. The stock Prochager intake with the tiny airfilter sucks ass. I made a custom 4" piped back to the stock location with the biggest AEM dry filter they make.

SC--my bad. I was thinking he had a Radix or Magna... I totally forgot he was running the Procharger. Your calculations are correct...

it is around 4 in pulley i tried to measure it and got 4.5 but i know they measure from where the belt sits. but i talked to shannon at procharger he's the best, he said he would get me out another pulley no charge but wanted me to check a few things first. one was my plug gap, which i changed and got another few psi, and the other was my A/F ratio, which i am running a little rich so when i lean that out to about 11.5 to i'll probably not need a pulley. i was thinking about getting it anyway, but i have heard anything over 9 and im taking a chance on blowing the piston rings.

Well, not only that, but the bottom end is what I'd be worried about. I have heard that the stock casting internals are pretty damn tough, but you are taking a chance. I'd run no more than 9.5-10 psi. If you keep boost levels down and not rag it everyday, you can keep the rings in ok condtion. But if you rag the ever-living dogshit out of it, you will definfitely see and feel the difference of a well taken care of motor and a ragged motor...

What plugs are you running? I'd recommend the NGK TR-6--they are better for S/C motors. And gap them the same as Shannon said--.040, right? Do you have all the properly working gauges on your A pillar? If you don't, get them as soon as possible.

.035 is pretty damn tight! But if that is what Procharger recommends-do it! Make sure you keep those gauges working properly ALL the time..if not, KABOOM!
