IF I could do ANYTHING I wanted truck wise, this is what I would do/get and the approximate realistic cost (to the best of my knowledge - let me know if I'm off on anything - I don't have much experience with swaps, etc.):

1972 Chevy Fleetside C10. Available on ebay for $5-$10,000 depending on condition.

NEW 6.0l Chevy crate engine for $3,000

    Magna Supercharger for $4000

    Level 4 Tranny for $2,000

    Detroit True-Trac rearend for $500

    Labor for removal/install/motor mount/drive-shaft fabrication: approximately. $3000

Total cost for an 11-second bada$$ dream-truck truck that will stomp virtually any Corvette, truck, ricer, motorcycle, Mustang, Camaro, etc. on the road with 0 miles on engine and drivetrain: $22,500.

Extra for unforeseen expenses (THAT never happens does it...): $2,500

    Nice start.

Same year, but Step Side, airbag suspension, and front mount turbo.
    Gone, but not forgotten!

I didn't think you were supposed to run headers with a supercharger....? Anyway, yeah those are some more items to consider...

I just love the old body style stuff. They don't make 'em with the character that they used to.

then pic you up one with a good body and interior, no motor or trans, drop a 6.0 with you choice of power adder, turbo 400 3,200 stall, they have a good rear end already, so get a truetrac and some 3.73's will allow for some freeway driving, drop it, caltracs, comp engineering adjustable shock and some fat ass drag radials and there you go, all for under $10,000
