can you see a problem with mounting the ECM and fusebox under the hood? instead of having to run the wiring through the firewall and then through the dash.

i am in a time crunch right now, i thought i would have everything running by now, but just got the motor last week and as of yesterday, me and my girlfriend are down to one car. the lease ended yesterday on her car and we turned it in. luckily i work nights, 9p-7a, and she works days, so we can pretty much deal with one car for a while, but it sux. but on june 9th, my schedule changes to evenings, 4p-2a, and if i dont have this thing running it will not be good.

i am close to having everything i need to install the motor, just would was wondering if i could save some time by just mounting everything under the hood until a later date, when i have more time to spend on routing wires. i know it wont look good, but i just need it to run until i have some time to do it right.

i only live 3 miles from work, so i suppose my trek would work....but would get old real quick.

    thanks

    jack

GM truck PCMs have been mounted under the hood for at least 10 years now. It would be fine under the hood. The 01-02 S10 Trucks/Blazers ( maybe others ) had a nice neat PCM holder that works VERY well for conversion projects.

I'd post pics, but company's proxy server is draggin' arse today. (I HATE PROXIES)

Anyhow... My PCM is just sitting securely b/t the OEM (OBS)Evap canister and wheel well towards the front, driver's side fender (right behind the left headlights).
