I'm looking for the best cam for my set up and couldn't find anything when I searched so here it goes. My specs are in my sig and this is my daily driver.

I also wanted to know if I can keep my stock internals or if I have to go forged.

Thanks in advance for the input!

You will get alot of different opinions on this, but IMO, mid 220's, .580's on a 115-117 will make it work great.
You will be surprised at the difference.
We did one of our turbo cams on a stock LS1 and we made 503/513 @ 6psi.
If you have a good safe tune it should do fine.

Any particular brand? And will this have a lot of lope? Sorry, I'm completely clueless when it comes to this stuff!!

I didn't go a quiet as big as Billy suggested but I like my cam. Comp reverse split - 222/218, .566/.562, 115 LSA. With Allen's street tune and 95*F ambient temps, the truck was making close to 600hp at the crank at 10psi. It has just a hint of lope at idle. Just enough to make it interesting but not threatening.

My engine is stock on the bottom. I don't see any tranny mods in your sig; that'd be my next suggestion. Mine lasted one week at 10psi after the cam and TC install.

Billy...what are the specs on that turbo cam?

Edit...now I see the vette servo but think you might a little more than that.

YOU CAN RUN THIS CAM AND IF YOU DECIDE TO GO BACK TO N/A IT WILL STILL WORK GOOD. I AM RUNNING 475.7 AT THE WHEELS AND BEING AN 80E PROBABLY 18-20 % LOSS OF DRIVETRAIN, SO ABOUT 590 HP AT THE CRANK? DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT. NO WONDER I HAVE NO TRACTION.
THANKS ALLEN!

I didn't notice any internal mods (rods, pistons...) in either of your sigs. Is this something that needs to be done with all of the things I will have? Just curious.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback!!

Are these custom grinds or do you have a P/N?

Billy do you carry these cams? Can you PM me and tell me how much they run?

Sorry for all of the questions. All of the big HP numbers you guys talk about get me fired up!!

the cam in the car making 503rwhp is a 228/228 .588 .588 115lsa.
We just put a 117lsa (same specs otherwise) in a Silverado SS. It feels great w/o the turbo and thats what coming.
Here is a vid of the 503hp car at idle. This has the 228 115lsa cam in it.
