Thread: 81 / 02 6.0 conversion

    First question, if i have the plates that bolt to the frame and the engine mounts bolt onto, can I bolt those in the same exact position that the mounts for the straight 6 was at and will it work?

    Second question, im seeing alot of people notch the crossmember under the engine to clear the crank pulley, is this a must?

    third question, what kind of tranny mount mods am i going tohave to make to go from the stock 3spd manual to the 4L80E ?

    Read this ENTIRE thread... there are some similarities b/t our swaps. I also posted reasons why I did what I did. There's a LOT of pics here too. Any questions you have may be answered here, but post if you need more answered.
