From my apt complex. I took the inline fuel pump off since I didnt need it anymore to sell it and apparently it leaked a little fuel on the ground. Long story short even though my truck has the apt's vehicle tag on there that has a number specific to my truck they couldnt call me to say that I needed to fix the problem. Im sucking fucking pissed right now, they say that their "system" isnt setup to where they can look for that tag number and find out what apt that vehicle belongs to, but what is the fucking point of having the sticker on there to identify your vehicle if they cant even use the damn number on it for shit? Needless to say Im going to fight this shit till the end. I understand it is my fault for having a leaking truck but they should have notified me of the problem. It leaked a little fuel when I pulled the pump off and it was raining so it wasnt a big deal but I guess it dripped a bit more or something that I didnt notice. Im just so pissed right now, one damn thing after another.

THere are two black marks where they drug it out of the parking spot so Im sure there is some damage to the trans I was trying to sell. I got a few bills I need to pay off, I was planning on buying a "starter" house when my lease is up in August now I for damn sure am. Looks like me and the manager are going to go round and round about this one.

Should I even bother talking to a lawyer about it or just pay up and take it as a leasson learned?

Lawyer is the only one that wins in that one. Buying a house is like an investment. Paying rent is a total waste. Buy a house and you are paying yourself rent that you get back eventually. Equity is a great thing.
Like I said If you can pay rent you can buy a house. Go for a 15 year mortgage that you can afford. It beats the crap out of a 30 year mortgage. A 30 year mortgage would lower your house payment a very insignificant amount compared to the extra length of the loan.
By the way I am not an English major and can not spell for shit and Grammer was a time in school that I missed. What I do know how to do is make money, and press the gas pedal.

Better to get towed than fingered. Get it? Toed?

Just kidding...sorry to hear that man, that bites. If there was damage to the vehicle, you may be able to sue for damages plus court costs...The burden of proof would be on them I would think to show where they made an effort to contact you prior to towing.

Did the apartment have it towed or did the towing company take it upon themselves to do it?

Apt's had it towed due to it posing a fire hazard which is very understandable. Its jsut the fact tehy didnt contact me that pisses me off.

Their whole excuse is that their system doesnt allow them to look up who the owner of a vehicle is(the apr # its connected to) by the number that is on the parking permit sticker. IMO its not my fault they have a stupid system. Why have a number on the sitcker at all if it cant be used? Why not just ahve a sticker? The shit part about it is when I go to pick it up tomorrow I have to pay teh tow company to tow it BACK to my apt. FUcked up!
