My brother and I have been wanting to do a ls1 swap in his truck for quite some time now.. We finally got the project under way today.. Picked up a 2000 ls1 with 37k miles on it.. It also came with a t56 but I believe we are going to sell that and go with a 4l60E.. sent a email to allen about getting me a harness made up.. I sent an email to S&P about their motor mounts, but are theirs that much better than the ones on ebay?? Where is the best place to order a good fuel pump?? Would it be better to run all new fuel lines or just work with what I have?? I am not sure if the motor I got has returnless setup or not.. Well just wanted to start this thread so I can update it every now and then with pictures and stuff.. Any info you guys could give would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Drew

hey drew, welcome! the only thing im gonna comment on is the fuel lines, cuz id think ud need braided fuel lines, that way u can route them appropriately. my 6.0 swap has braided lines, cuz my lines were hard lines and they didnt bend right!

You don't need braided steel lines, stock stuff can be made to work or you can get fuel injection rated rubber hose from your local parts store.
It may be beneficial if you post up the details on what you are swapping your LS1 into, and what your goals are for the truck. That way, any assistance that people provide is more likey to be accurate and in line with your needs.

I'll throw my in... Braided lines would give you piece of mind with regards to routing, and not worrying about potential hazards (line puncture, fitting slippage, line "over" pressure, etc). FYI, that's an expensive route, but it does have it's advantages (plus, it looks great). On the other hand, Russell, Earl, and Summit (to name a few) offer fuel pressure rated hose that will be sufficient. You want to make sure you route these away from moving parts or extreme heat. It can be done! Ask Farmtruc!
