Ok guys, first of all I did trade my 97 vortec 350 in for an 06 crew cab 2wd with a 5.3.I am still in shock and it did not really hit me until I got on the highway with the new truck,I miss my 97 so bad already.
I can not beleive how much they gave me for it but they did. They gave me 7 grand for that truck which my jaw dropped.
I love this new truck so much do not get me wrong but that 97 will always be in my heart as I already can feel the pain in giving it up.
All in all,I am very happy with my new 06 crew cab,it is very nice and runs good.Although those freaking gears in that rearend are not gonna be in there long, trust me those are goin first as they are not gonna cut it.This truck has ALOT of potential to run really hard and it will get there of course, there is no way I am gonna be able to leave this bad boy alone.
Nitrous, well I am holding off on that for alittle bit but it will be on there one day,my wife would rather me not put it on there so I am gonna go ahead and hold off on it for a bit.It will be running hard N/A soon.
You never know though,I always told myself if I ever got a new truck then it would have an STS on it,so we will see.
I love this 06 and I am glad I did it but I will always miss my 97 and love it.
It was VERY hard to give the 97 up,but I did and I know this one will be close to me as much soon.
Later guys

I think you will be happy with your new truck. I always remember my ex-vehicles with the fondest of memories, even if there was hardships and foul language involved when I owned them LOL!

congrats man!! i remember i felt the same way . my Ford was an overall good truck. and my first truck. i hated to trade it. but my 05 is sooo much sweeter. i still love it like the day i got it. this truck still makes me say . damn man..thats my truck over there. i ALWAYS get compliments on it. your 97 was clean too. but you gotta get pics up of that 06 CC. the CC are too cool. you will love the extra seating. you wont miss that other foot in the bed.(i didnt) but i just cant believe that you are telling us about it. and you done have pics yet. good choice. here is pics of my old truck and my truck when i first got her. the ford was cool. but my chevy is wayyy more hotter. and the funny thing is a motorcycle/ atv dealer bought my old ford. and use it to deliver new ATV and cycles. so i see it almost everyday.

Congrats. It is nothing like getting a new truck. I bought my blue truck in 04 and then it got totaled by this bitch. So i got a a nice severance and got my new truck. I just had to get the same year and i got it fully loaded. The new 05 and 06 were nice but i did not like the idea of rear drum brakes.
