    Thumbs up

A friend is trading in his 05 chevy truck and I have a brand new fan clutch and shroud and would like to swap.USE2BFO has an 05 hd that came without efans and he put efans on.Can I take the efans off and take some of the harness without hurting the system.I have talked to everybody I know and I know its possible,my question is Hummertech)Can someone tell me or get me the harness detail of what to pull. My pcm is already tuned by Allen and ready for fans.I need to know what I can take and not hurt the truck. Thanks in advance and Hummertech, youve had some awsome answers to everybodies questions.

Would be nice if the 05 fan harness would be plug and play , so all you need is a diagram of where the harness hooks up in the 05 and a 04 diagram to see if the 04 has the same hook ups (be lucky) in the harness as the 05 .
Wonder if the 04 PCM has the same pins for e-fans as the 05 (42-33)?
Someone said once that the 05 e-fans were some what complicated in how they hook into the truck wiring /?>.
Sounds like "hummertech" is the guy to ask if you can get his attention.
Now what is a tune again?

i'm looking at the wiring now, it looks intergrated prety well, there are sevral dtc's related to the operation of the fans, i dont think you can just remove the fans without the check engine light comming on. give me a minute to look it over.

if you remove the fans, leave all the relays in place so the pcm thinks the fans are in place i think it might work. i dont see any feedback circuts for the actual operation of the fans, just the relays. make sure you install the fan, clutch, and shroud good so the new owner doesnt brake down. and dont be afraid to trade it in like that, no person at the dealership will even know it should have had e-fans. just make it look like nobody has ever been in it before.... and yes the pins are 33 for the high and 42 for the low. good lock (help find me a job when i get fired for this)

My old mans Efans were stolen while his truck was in for repair and replaced with a fan clutch. Just unpluged and unbloted, No MIL was set.

Tyson , I remember reading your post or someone's post on that some time back , took truck to Jiffy Lube and when the truck was picked up the fans had been changed out .
    No honor among theives .
So COWL327 , there you go , I know how to make a fine looking harness that will work with the fans and your PCM or get one from Allen and it can be modded to work .
Now what is a tune again?
