I've heard many bad rumors. I put a granatelli on my tahoe and got a check engine light. when i switched back to stock it went off. I'd be afraid to cut up a stocker without a replacement for just in case.

I think he's talking about deleting it as a whole. Really it depends on who you talk to. IMO, I would keep the MAF until it is absolutely necessary to get rid of it. A MAF can go along way in regards to fueling accurately. But there is a point that it cant go any further. I like the MAF cause it's a little more leniant to weather changes and air density from day to day. Some people swear that SD tuning produces more torque, but if your MAF is accurately layed over your VE table and the dynamic airflow numbers match what the MAF outputs, your good to go!

Im have been running the 1bar for sometime now. I could never get it to idle right with the MAF for unknow reasons.

The two things I noticed most was.. I had a bad lag for about 1 second from a stop to WOT with the MAF, that went with the MAF

My gas milage went south. With MAF 14 mpg city 19 hwy, Without MAF 11 city 17 hwy.
