OK, I am addicted to these trucks. This is what I am thinking about. Late model truck (99+) RCSB with 4.8 or 5.3. Swap in a LS6, build the tranny, eaton in back.

Everything should bolt up right? What about the injectors? I guess it would be best to graft in the corvette injectors. The MAF would need to be changed to the LS6 also right? Nelson performance tune, of course

I think that would make a kick ass NA truck. A new LS6 long block from GM is the same price as a Radix (about the same power as well I think). It would be cool to put the LS6 emblems on the side of a truck

    What do you guys think???

Every thing will bolt right up. The injectors are kinda small on the trucks. The LS6 has 28.8 injectors I think the trucks have 24 or close. The truck already has the LS6 type MAF but the LS6 doesn't have the MAF screen. Sounds like a great project to me.

That sounds like a project that will be in the 13's to me, badass!!

Everything will bolt up fine, the injectors will feed the engine just fine, but it's probably recommended by most to upgrade to some bigger ones, I'd say about 30lbs would right.
It will be easier to get some 8.1L injectors, they are 30lbs, and they will go right in. No need to graft the ls1 injectors in if you go that way.
You can use either maf, both the ls6 and truck mafs flow very well.

Thanks on the tuning, i look forward to meeting and dealing with you.

Sounds like a good plan, that thing move pretty good.

good luck and keep us updated, that'll be cool,

I was thinking about the 8.1 injectors. Thanks for confirming that for me. I'm still working the plan in my head and I think I'll start gathering parts. I have my brother in law keeping his eye out for a truck in the wholesale lot where he works. Since he is the tranny man I have no problem with how many miles are on it
    Maybe by this spring

Allen, I should have the O2 bung welded in this week. I'll let you know when I am coming down with the 1500HD.....

Sounds like it'd be pimp! You going to keep the 1500HD also?

Ya I'd keep the HD while working on it. Maybe sell something or keep all of them and drive'em I'm sure my insurance company would just love me. Of course I would need a policy on all the vehicles but I can only manage to drive one at a time What a scam......

You should still keep the HD to tow the other one to the track...then race the tow vehicle and let it be faster than what ya brought! hahaha
