Just finished installing another STS. This one is on a 1/2 ton Chevy, 4X4, 5.3 with shorty headers & underdrive pulley. We did STS with 60-1, converted to LS1 style injectors and put 60s in, installed intank Walbro pump, designed a fmic kit instead of using STS', BOV, wideband O2 and digital boost gauge. Allen sent us the tune.

The customer is planning a trip to let Allen tune in person to get the full potential out of it.

We did duplicate the intercooler kit for someone that doesnt like the STS kit. This one doesnt hang down and is only $800.00 for the kit.

I think it was my intercooler. Allen had it custom made b/c the STS intercooler hung down too low and my truck had a cross bar support where the newer ones(trucks) do not. It looks great! Congrats to the lucky owner. I know he will enjoy the taste of boost.

I was thinking on a TRT w/ the cooler. I also have a 4WD this gives me hope and incentive.

I like my STS Intercooler, but it would be nice to have one that didn't hang down as far, plus it looks like it uses less piping, hmmmmmmm. I LIKE IT!

It does use less intercooler piping. STS comes from the pass side all the way across, then into the intercooler. I am going in on the pass side and up the middle to the throttle body.

OK guys....de-lurking here to give some credit where credit is due. That's my truck that Billy worked on and I can tell you that I'm really pleased with the work Billy and Dustin did. I started looking into FI about a year ago and Billy has been fielding calls from me since about that time. He has the patience of Job and the knowledge to go along with it. The quality of the install and the attention to detail is outstanding. When I was discussing what I wanted he told me how I could get there without it seeming like sales

As for Allen's tune...for a mail order it is pretty damn close. He was also helpful and informative in getting me on the right track. I have no doubt the truck will x2 after he gets thru with the road tune!

And to the rest of you....your posts were very helpful in determing which FI route to go.

TRT, Nelson Performance and LS1Truck rocks!

Welcome fellow STS to the wonderful world of boost. Atta BOY to Billy and Dustin for the top notch looking install. I wish i would have waited for your intercooler! But i dont think mine hangs down like it does on the older trucks. How much boost is this truck running? Allen knows these STS trucks!

Sorry for the delayed reply. Right now I'm just running 5psi but we're going to up the boost soon! Billy has me talked into a cam (GT2-3) and springs but I'm cash poor after the kit/install. Plus, I still have some work on the tranny (Transgo) to do and want to get a feel for what the truck is doing now before I do anymore. I really like the IC. One reason I waited so long was that I didn't like the STS IC and the way it hung down. Had thought about meth inj. but I am on the road alot. I didn't want to have to worry about additional maintenance on the road. When Billy mentioned a custom IC, thats when things started getting serious.
