Installed a set of iridium TR55ix plugs today. It idles much smoother for sure. Driving around and it feels smoother throughout the powerband. They are worth it. I gapped mine down to .040 since I am only running <6psi. Wonder if I will see any mpg improvment

Ya, they are about $50 at Orielly's but still cheaper than the original iridiums. I think they were like 90.
The Gtech will be here Mon or Tues and I know a good road behind lake Travis for testing it out. I'll post the results, should be fairly close numbers I hope.

i used to run the tr6 in my z28, i liked them and for the first few thousand miles they were great, but for some reason they fouled quickly, replaced mine about 4 times within 100K miles, other than that, they are nice plugs,

I was running the TR6 plugs and they were fine. I had about 25k or so on them and the V groove was about gone. I have heard/read nothing but good things about the iridiums, but 10 a plug when they came out was ridiculous. Now they are in line with any of the platimum plugs.

And seriously, they are the best plug I have ever used. Besides the shift kit for the vette, its the best 50bucks I've spent. You can bet its better than any money spent on a TB spacer or some other snake oil....

The NGK-TR55 is the normal copper plug and the TR6 is just one step cooler for boost and N2O use.
