Well ive been thinking about getting the low lift version of this cam to put in my truck. It's a 01 rcsb w/4.8 auto and 3.42's. I plan on putting some ls6 springs and get a tune from Nelson. I just wonder how it will act with a stock TC. Also does anyone have any sound clips of this particular cam? I would love to hear some. The full specs are 212/218 529/532 on a 114 lsa. any help or advise would be great. thanks P.J.

That cam is a good upgrade from stock. It'll have a strong mid range so you will be alright with the stock converter but it wouldn't hurt to get a mild stall, say 2000 to 2400. You can go larger it's up to you.

i have the 210/218 in my 5.3 ecsb and its a good midand upper rpm cam. I lost some lowend but not much(mainly below 2200rpms)

I would say atleast get a 2400-2600stall for it

as far as sound it will depend on how open your exhaust is. Its its open, then you can hear the cam good. If its a quiet muffler than you wont hear much lope at all.
