So I just ran my brother's 01 sclb 4x4 Duramax and it didn't go so well. The first race he had the 65 hp tune in. He ran in 2wd with a moderate boosted launch and jumped ahead about 2 lengths right away. Once I finally hooked up, at about 15 mph, I could almost hang with him, but he was still slightly pulling. The second race he programed in the 90 hp tune and did a very agressive 4x4 boosted launch. Needlsess to say he instantly jumped about 5 lengths and then he just kept going and going and... My truck is still 100% stock, but I thought I might at least keep up. Oh well, I guess that's incentive. Oh and to make sure I continue to have traction problems, I filled up that empty spot behind the passenger seat.
On the plus side, I did beat my dad in his '96 454 2wd Suburban!

Don't be fooled by the heavy D-max those things will roll with the program, there was a 4 door 4x4 d-max at the track with the banks six gun and he was running 13.5 all night long lol, you will have to do more then the nos to catch him i do believe, but it will be closer lol.

My truck when it only had 5.3L, HyperTech, E-Fans, Pulleys, Flowmasters dual exaust, 160 thermo, 3:42 gears, Granetelli MAF, TB Spacer, K&N Gen II my truck ran 9:60's in 1/8.

My dads 03 Duramax Crewcab dually with 90 gal. fuel tank in back with 3:73's and 100h.p. chip ran 9:40's in the 1/8, since then added CAI, and 4in. exaust and have not been back to see if I could drop a tenth or two.

Needless to say I was very mad, and my Dad thought it was funny as hell to see his big dually smoke my truck. Thats one reason why you see a Procharger sitting under my hood to get my dads Duramax back in my rear view mirro, but all of them Disels are sleepers and you half to be careful before you jump on one or they will leave you end a cloud of smoke. hahaa
