Just wondering how much more ATF the stock "deep" tranny pan holds. If i were to use this pan instead of the "shorter" one would i need to also get a different dipstick. Does anyone think it is even enough of a difference to "swap" to the deeper pan. keep in mind i have BOOST!

It's about one quart more. B&Ms are two more than the 4x4 pan.

why do you want a shorter pan? are you lowering your truck? remember that you have a 4l60 "E" not a 4l60 like in your title, the pans are different im pretty sure, cause the 60-E has solenoid valves on the bootom of the tranny and the 4l60 does not i believe, and i would think an extra 1/2 qts of fluid would be helpul in any trans, get a trans cooler if you dont have one.

Sorry i guess i didn't specify that i have the "short" one right now, and thought about putting the "deep" 4WD one on there, was just wondering how much more fluid it held. I totally just forgot about adding the "e" so thanks for the reminder.
