I was just wondering what y'all thought about the new dodge hemi truck? I have a subscription to Sport Truck magazine, which I like to look at the featured trucks and some of the tech articles. But, since the new Dodge Ram came out it seems whenever they write a comparison article about the the Chevy, Ford, and Dodge, the articles always seem so biased towards the dodges. It's like Dodge is giving the writers and editors blowjobs as they write their articles. From what I hear about the people that race these new dodge trucks, they aren't what they crack up to be, even when they go up against a 5.3. Of course in the article they were comparing the SS, RC Hemi, and Lightning. The SS beat the hemi, but only by small margin, and that was only because it had a 6L. Well, just wanted to see what y'all think.

I can't agree with you more, I don't know of any magazine that likes chevy, especially motortrend, those guys on there drive like shit and the best they could get out of a Z28 was a 13.9, wft, but then turn around and get a 13.5 out of a TransAm, go figure.

Anyway, back to the dodges.
I'm gettting used to them, but they still look too damn big and bulky for that engine to power. They finally get up to speed with chevy's power from a couple of years ago and ppl think it's the best thing out, please!!!
As far as performance, hahahah, they are just as slow as ever, at least down here in SA, of course everyone has one and I get plenty of races in trucks, too bad cause i can't find one that can beat me (i know they're out there, just haven't ran into on yet) i wish the vettes and fbody's would give me a chance, heehhe, that's more of a challenge.

They do sound nice with a magnaflow or flowmaster on them, anybody hear one yet, actually sounds real good.

I'd never buy one,

they say they have 345 stock but if you read the new sport truck mag, they only dynoed at 248 rear wheel hp. thats almost a 100 hp loss through the drivetrain. so much for having a lot of power..

I know my truck isn't a stock 02 or anything, but i've raced a few and they slow in my opinion, it seems like the gmc trucks give me a better race than the hemi's do.
Probably cause they weigh like 5000lbs. if so, 345hp isn't much.

realistically they'll dyno between 260 and 280 stock.

ill never trust any magazine numbers, over real world numbers
