    4l60E question

    so im doing a 5.3 swap in a 95 K1500 and we were going to use the original 4l60e that was behind the original 4.3 v6 but im being told to change out to a newer style 4l60e because of the torque converter lockup? 12 wire plug vs 13 wire plug? Any help is greatly appreciated

    I could be wrong but I think the 12 wire vs 13 wire is from 94 to 95.... If you have the option I would just go with the newer style 4l60e that way the bellhousing bolts up to the entire engine.. I am in the middle of swapping a 4.8 into my fathers 96 model and I am not sure if the lower dust plate will go back on after the swap
