Is there a "ram-air" type system available for the 2003 2500HD? Something ducted to the airbox, similar to the FTRA. The Volant scoop won't fit the HD, due to the larger frame rails. I've seen the K&N, Air Raid, & UPD systems, but they all draw air from the fender duct, or underhood.

    Thanks,

    Mark

You can make one yourself with a little a/c hose form home depot. Cut a hole i nthe bottom of the airbox and install the hose and run it down to where you want it to draw from. A few people have tried this. I would post some pics but the Silveradoss forum is down and that's where I saw the pics.

Mark, if you look in the pic section of this forum, look for oics of the Black Knight. He is the one I was refering to. He has pics of his homemade ram air.

I have a K&N FIPK on my truck and the little plate under the stock airbox is removed. That gives a psuedo-ram air as the incoming airflow gets directed up the inner fender liner.

My temps drop off really fast that way, and stay slightly above ambient by just a few degrees with that setup.

FIPK's can be picked up pretty damn cheap used too...

Ya know, if someone gave me a Radix...I wouldn't even install it. I'd hock it off and distribute the profits among the vehicles. I don't wanna strap that on then have my 4L60 take a shit then my G80 blow out the assend.
