01 lq4 6.0 from yukon bracket accessory kit

Hello again. Where might i be able to get a bracket kit that will relocate the accessories up so i can use the stock ac compressor and be able to use inside the stock frame rails of a 98 tahoe 2dr 2wd?

This is my first conversion and i know it is not a ls motor but all mounts should be the same right?

LS is the engine family. You have an LS. Lextech makes a bracket to use you 98 a/c compressor everything else just uses the truck/suv brackets.

Well I actually don't have any of the accessories from my 98. I have a complete pull out from the 01 Yukon that has the sarnin I think that's what the small compressor is called.

I am not aware of any kits that let's you keep the LS style compressor and mount it up high. You could always cut and notch the frame rail to keep it down low.

I actually just found the full bracket kit st summit I just have to use a r4 type compressor. Its not bad the kit is only 360. Moves the ac compressor up along with the Alt and PS pump. It makes the engine bay look a little more semetrical from side to side.

Found the long tube headers for 279 painted with 02 bungs pretty welded and they set above the frame rail made for the swap into the obs truck also.

If you going the route of not trying to use the LS compressor then just get the lextech kit and use an original Delphi compressor and all the lines that originally went to your 98. The r4 is not as good as the 98 compressor and you'll be able to just get all the factory stuff to keep the ac. Lextech's kit is cheaper anyway.

As for headers use the shoenfields

Lextechs kit is really nice and easy to install. Here is my install with it.

The belt #'s he listed in the kit instructions are the same interchange #'s for a Gates belt and it fit perfectly. I think I may need to get a new tensioner for mine.
Been lurking since 09 and I finally have my kickass 6.0 LQ4
