    4.11 gears vs 4.56 gears

So I currently have 4.11s in my truck, and I'm thinking I will benefit swapping in a set of 4.56 gears. Anyone running a 4.56 gear? How is the driveability? Will they kill my highway mileage? Opinions?

Truck is 2008 gmc Sierra 1500 ecsb
    370 ly6 10.5:1cr
    L92 heads
Peak speed shop ported L92 intake and TB

i personally liked when i had 4:56s even 4:88s, as far as gas mileage, you'll loose some but just as anything else you do you'll loose mileage, drive ability ? i personally thinks that's an opinion on what one can tolerate.you'll gain about 200 or so rpm from the change maybe even 400 rpms. now at the track its a world of difference it'll hit harder and gain 60 ft. times along with a better ET if you can keep it from spinning lol. you'll definitely know it when you gas it lol

That's for the input skeet! What size tire were you running? I'm not too worried about the track, I'm more into the Mexico street racing . I'm thinking the 4.56 gear with get me in the powerband quicker get my heavy truck moving. The ported intake and cam seem to come alive around 4500. The truck is a dd so I just don't wanna make it miserable to drive

i run a 29.5 tire now with a 4:30 gear BUT i also fixing to spray over 200 shot of nitrous, when i was motor with 4:56 i ran a 28" then moved to a 29.5 with 4:88, tire size didnt bother me as much it all depended on hooking on the track, in your case being on the street id go 29 or 30 and wide as you can for some type of traction.

Yea so with my 32" tires and heavy 20s, the 4.56 gear should be about perfect
