Finally starting to tune my truck any help would be great

So I always have used NP for my tunes but with the new setup and being so far away from san antonio getting a live tune is pretty much out of the question, Allen tuned it with a mail order tune and it runs good but its built to be sprayed, so ive been tinkering with a tune of my own, I got it to run and idle but it needs to be better, any tips would help as im pretty new to tuning, it revs but not as fast as id like or as fast as allens tune either, it also takes a bit for the rpms to drop back down and its only stalling to 3200 should at least hit 4k stalls to 4100 on NP tune, I planned on just sending allen scans and working it out but for some reason even on the unlocked pcm after I save a scan it wont let me watch the play back, anyone willing to help ill give more info if needed.

you got one of the best tuners at your finger tips you might not be saving the tune properly! i'd figure that out and let Allen do his thing

Yea ive had several guys say theyd help including George but if I cant send logs is pointless, ill open up the scanner, start scanning, stop scanning, save configuration as "name scan" then once I go and try to playback it doesn't work.

which windows OS you running? laptop old ? files up to date?

when you try and open the file does it error out? does hptuners open up ? shows scan and just doesnt play ?

You are using the wrong save tab. You need to be using the "Save Data As" tab, it is about 10 tabs to the right of the save configuration tab.

lap top is few weeks old bought it solely for hpt.

you could do what i did and give up on HPtuners and swap over to a carb. lol. wheatley was a huge help getting my EFI trucks tuned. my last combo was tuned 100% through e-mail and it was the most drivable setup i had even though it was the most radical setup i had ever had. i just couldnt get my mind around how HP works. too many tables, too much bullshit. good luck!
