Just bought a 12 bolt out of a1983 silverado and was gonna build it
Was wondering what y'all recommend for my gear ratio?

do you plan on doing anything else to the truck? ie boost/stall? id say 4:10 depends on stall and tire size? what gears are you running now?

Regular cab I'd say 373 for DD. depending on how far you drive maybe 411 for a lil more fun.

    Ok thanks
    I was thinking either 373 or 410

id still say 410. unless you do a grip of long distance driving. i had a 3200 stall with 373's and 33'' tires and i could fry them.

With 28" tires you could get away with 3.73 and still have it perform well. I run 4.10's with 30" tires and really like it.

At 70mph, you'll be spinning around 2350 rpm with 3.73's.

With 4.10's at 70mph, you'll be spinning around 2583 rpm.
