    Looking for a GM LS platrorm site

    I have been a member of a few other performance truck sites in addition to a Corvette forum and a hotrod forum.
    Just finalized my registration minutes ago.
    The user name is from the fact that I landspeed race my 48,000 mile black 03 SS Silverado truck as well as dragrace it on occasion. And I am shopping for the tire I want that would offer the best handling on autocross tracks, track events, and light highway use in good weather unless caught unexpectantly on the road.
    I will be going to Wilmington, Ohio in April to landspeed race where last year I ran 134 mph in a 25 mph quartering head wind. I hold three landspeed records in the truck and I am going in April with a goal of running 140 mph, wind permitting.
    Looking forward to seeking advise and picking up performance tips now that I don't have to sift through all the Fodges and Dords, misspelling is by intention.

    What are the rules with the landspeed? I know Flaco was damn near breaking the 200mph mark at the Mile last year or the year before.

    Give us some more info on your SSS.

    what is all done to the truck, im guessing ext cabs have there own classifications when going for land speed records.

    I know at bonneville salt flats they set the records based on your average not your top speed.

    Also curious about the rules. 140 doesn't seem that fast compared to what some trucks do on this site. So there must be something we are not thinking of.
