    5.3 piston dish cc

Can anyone tell me the dish cc on a 5.3 piston. I don't have one out to measure, and by the info I can find and calculations I'm coming up with -7.6cc. I just need confirmation if this is correct or not. I was planning on swapping pistons in my 5.3, but instead I'm going to mill the heads and leave the short block alone. I need to know the cc of the piston to determine how much I need to mill for desired compression ratio.

I've come up with around 8-9 cc using compression ratio calculators with all the stock measurements.

Thanks. So I wasn't too far off with 7.6

Not too far off at all. I don't think one cc is going to make a huge difference though.

Nah 1 cc won't. But 5 cc will and I just wanted to make sure I'm close. Hopefully getting started next week sometime.

let me know how machining your heads go. im looking at doing the same thing or getting the gm 799 heads. let me know if it was worth it or if you would do something different.
