New here and i have read up a lot. I want a 500hp give or take a little for my wifes fathers truck who has passed away. What motor tranny combo will get me there? I have enough resources to do it right so where do i start? Is it the 6.0l?

6.0 is great start if you are looking for a NA build. With worked LS3 heads, a big cam and boltons you can hit close to 500. If you are interested in boost basically any LS motor will hit 500 pretty easy with supporting mods. On the trans side I would go TH400 as long as it's not a DD. You will need Dirty Dingo motor mounts.

In short, yes but it depends in what route you want to go to hit that 500 mark. N2O, turbo, blower, NA..... There are so many possibilities.
