Got pulled over last night comin home from a friends house..
about 1:30am this morning.

First thing I was thinking was what the hell, did I do?????????????
I wasnt speeding, and everything is on the up, and up on the truck...
thought maybe I had a tail light out, or my plate lights where out..
??????
so I pull into the neighbor hood, and shut the truck off, and he walks up, and says he pulled me over for not signaling within the required distance of a traffic light for the right hand turn I made..

I was thinking you gotta be kidding me......
thats a $160 fine here in texas...
give him my license, and insurance, and he then preceeds to ask me, if this was the truck that had it's pick in the article about the Thunder Shootout, in the GM High Tech Mag.
I replied yes, there was a pic of it in the mag..

and then, for 15-30 minutes, we sat there and talked about my truck, and his VHO.
He never mentioned the infraction he pulled me over for again.

Real Nice officer too.
I told him about this site, and all the info he can get for his truck, and he also told me he is trying to put an LT1 in another car he's got..
..
So anyways long story short, we are sitting there with his light bar on talking about trucks, and his cars, all the while people are driving by( LOL, people from my neighbor hood, that know my truck, and probably arent to happy with me, because of the way it sounds) looking, and probably thinking, they finally are gonna get him....
and like usuall I was another law abiding citizen......

Oh yeah, if anybody would be interested in a 72 Chevelle SS he is trying to unload one for $1500..
clean title, and needs some restoration work...it's a rolling chassis, there was some floor board issues he was telling me about.. If you are interested, shoot me a PM, and I will give you his #

im never that lucky anymore. i had a little nissan PU that i could drive through a red light in a school zone doing 100mph yelling obsene stuff to nuns and the cops would let me off with a warning. in my current truck, everytime i get pulled i get a ticket. one of the speeding tickets i got i wasnt even speeding ! that one was dropped after they found out i had already called my attourney and was ready to take it to court lol. they even admitted that it was a BS pullover. some cops are real dicks. yours sounded pretty cool though. keep in touch with that cop. help him out with his cars cuz knowing the right people can get out of some tight situations

When I was 17 I got caught doing 85mph in a 40.
The state trooper jumped out of the car with a blood red face and slammed his car door. This was the first time I had ever been pulled over and I thought I was gonna sh!t myself.
Then when he got to the window he was fuming while he asked for my license and proof of insurance.
When I told him in my shakey voice, I didn't have an insurance card on me, he said...."You know that's a $150 fine in Tennessee, don't you?"
I said "No sir I didn't"
I really had just taken it out of my truck the night before to look it over, how ironic I would need it the very next day.

Anyways, he goes back to his car and runs my license and plates. Yells at the lady on the other end of the CB..."What? You gotta be kidding me!"
Comes back to the window, hands me my license and says "Don't do it again."
I said "Yes sir"

Odd, I thought he would have broken my license in front of me right then and there.

HAHAHAHA, it's funny, when I was 18, I was driving my dad's Toronado(pimpmobile) down a local highway (45 mph speed limit). I had been cruising along, and a local sheriff pulled me over. He said, "Do you know why I pulled you over?" I said no. He then said, "You were doing 70 in a 45, and I got you doing 4 lane changes with no signal. Give me your license and insurance." He left and came back a while later. "I'm gonna let you off with a warning, but if I ever catch you doing that again, I'm gonna load your wagon up!" I wanted to see if I could buy him coffee or a beer or something.

<sigh> The Toronado was awesome... I've really been missing that car lately. My dad's looked like this, but his was gray:

when i got my 2000 v6 chevy i had to test out the "power" i had. i thought i was the fastest thing on the freeway(coming from a 4 banger) lol. anyways i got pulled doing 97 in the 70. cop was cool about it even though i was only 17 and didnt have my insurance card on me. he droped the ticket to 94 in the 70 so i could take defensive driving.

the next day i was driving the same road and saw he was working an accident. an 18 wheeler full of storm fishing lures lost his load over a bridge. i stopped and helped pick up lures cuz i had nothing else to do. it took about an hour with about 10 people picking up lures because they fell down a steep muddy bank. when everything was cleaned up the cop asked for the ticket back and told me not to wory about the ticket

then the driver of the 18 wheeler found out that i was a fisherman and gave me about $200 worth of fishing lures what an awesome day
