    Alternative turbos...

I was looking around at turbos on ebay for fun tonight and got to thinking. Has anyone ever considered using a turbo off of something else like a Cat tractor or other diesel? I see many turbos going for 1-300$ Seems like a real steal especially for anyone just building a budget turbo kit.

Something about this just looks ugly and wrong. I guess NP, KB, and trick just do the best work and I am biased.

Just chevy trucks is a sponsor on PT. They have some YouTube vids too. If I ever go turbo, I'm sticking with a good name.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

yea looks like an 8 year old welded it together. Not only does it not have a downpipe, it also doesnt have a flange for a wastegate. And look at those bends!! I dont know how someone can sell that and put their name on it. Maybe I just have more pride, idk. I honestly dont have anything bad to say about my on3 turbo other than I wish the exhaust wheel was bigger. Itll get me into the 10s but its begging for a bigger exhaust wheel. Just wait a couple months when I upgrade to a S475 and Ill sell you this on3 76mm for a good price

I followed the link on that listing to their dyno vid with that turbo kit. Idk what turbo they used but they made 350/430 to the wheels. That is an absolute joke.

Not yet, just located one within 100 miles so maybe I can get it done pretty soon. But from the way it looses all traction even with 31 inch tires and 20 inch rims I know its over 350 . I'm guessing the upper 400 range or more.
