Did my cooler install the same day as the servos, luckily it went well. Before I started I got some more hose and lock nuts for the bolts. Pretty easy install.

The servos is not as firm as I hoped it would be, but it's an OK mod for as cheap as it is, if you don't mes up like me. I got my servo and cooler from Brian Carr at Oregon Performance Transmission, he has an eBay store and a web site.

If I do decide on a shift kit, I'll get it from him too.

hey...can you give a brief rundown of how to install a tranny cooler? I have the basic Idea, I just need details please
Where is the factory tranny cooler located? My truck is equipped with one, but I don't know where it is.
2002 ECSB, Nelson Tune, LS1 electric fans, 145A alternator, K&N FIPK, 160º T-stat, TB coolant bypass, Corvette servo, 4 headlight mod, blue LED gauge cluster
o One of the most important things is to use the proper line (return line in this case). For a 4L60E it's the line going into the top of the radiator cooler. The last pic that kirkrhughes posted shows this real well.Originally posted by Injected1@Jul 5 2005, 06:44 PM

o Use brackets to mount it, don't use the thru-core style.
o Make sure you have the fittings/hose/clamps you'll need. My B&M kit had everything I needed. Assuming barb type fittings on the cooler, you'll definately need (assumimg 3/8" ID hose):
- 3/8" x 3/x8" NPT male tapered fitting for the radiator
- 3/8" x 3/8" NPT female fitting for the OE supply line
o Verify that the cooler has a bulit in low pressure drop bypass. If not you may want something like a thermostatic control valve.
Basically:
1) Figure out where to mount it.
2) Mount it.
3) Disconnect the supply line.
4) Roughly measure your hose lengths and determine routing.
5) Install male fitting on radiator cooler outlet, connect hose to fitting, connect other end to cooler. Don't forget the clamps and thread sealer.
6) Install female fitting on supply line, run second hose from cooler to supply line.
7) Start it up, check for leaks, top off AT fluid per OE procedure.
You can use a mounting location like kirkrhughes did or something like I did here:
Hope that helps some. Good luck![]()

ok...so let me see if I have this right
from the top tranny line off the "radiator" to the inlet on the tranny cooler, out to the origional line back to the tranny? if thats right this should be a cake walk (should being the operative word)
I think you got it. Disconnect the tranny line from the top of the radiator cooler. Then connect hoses so flow goes: Out the top of the radiator cooler into your new cooler, then back from your cooler to the supply line that was disconnected (and back to the tranny)Originally posted by Injected1@Jul 5 2005, 10:01 PM

You'll do fine man. Now go get er' done! Your tranny will be happy you did.

My stock tranny cooler is located across the front exactly the same as the first post ion the thread by kirkrhughes.
