    Newbie From PA

    Hello All,

I am a newbie from the Philadelphia area, actually an hour west but close enough.

I have a '92 C1500 4x2 x-cab 5.7L. I picked up a 5.3 from a 2002 Silverado. I am looking to swap it into my truck with the help of a turbo. Seems like its going to be a project! I am in the parts gathering mode. From everything I have seen the harness and A/C seem to be the worst part. I am trying to work with my orignial A/C system since it works great! My intentions are to keep her as unbutchered as possible so I can always put the original motor back in it to sell it if need be. I am hoping this will not be a impossible feat.

A couple of friends have the LSX's in their cars so I caught the bug!

Any thoughts, suggestions or guidance would be great. Looking forward to starting this swap.

    Thank you,

    Welcome to the site!!!

I am in the end stages of my first and last LS swap, I'm making it my last just because of the ridiculous prices of the parts for this engine. I did my own wiring and honestly It wasn't as hard as I would have thought it to be. Good luck with your swap!!
