    nelson tune

I have a 1999 silverado ecsb 4x4 with 4.8 i am wanting to order a tuned PCM from nelson but have a few questions.
From what i understand, its 300 for them to send me a tuned PCM, i dont need to send them my original PCM, is this correct? If so, will my VATS still work with the new PCM they send me or is it not abale to be used anymore? I have access to a tech2 at work if i can relearn the VATS with the new PCM..?

I have a 2000, they did a mid grade tune for me. I love it more every day. You have to send them you old PCM as a core. I believe they reuse them. But I'd also recomend a 160 thermostat and get the elec fans and harness from them. I'm not sure about the vats mine worked great from day one, I did have to to a crank position relearn that helped my fuel MPGs out. I have the tune, 33in tires, 4.10 gears, 5 1/2 lift. With the 5.3, and a circle d 3000 stall and I'm gettin 18.6 MPGs city hwy combined. Was 16 all stock

You are correct. The tune is $300, however you are required to send your stock ecm back as a core. if you would like to keep it, it is an additional $75. We will leave vats enabled on the tuned ecm we send you and there is about a 10-15% chance that VATS and/or the crankshaft position sensor will need to be relearned.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you,
