    Check this out:

    Long Servo Pin

What the description states makes sense about the band adjust. My only concern is that the existing pin is factory preset. Then again, a Transgo kit contains shims that diddle with the band adjust.

    Good idea or paperweight?

BTW, Oregon Performance Transmission has alot of other good stuff.

That is who I got my servo from. I don't doubt he's right, so it if you got a few bucks to spare, go for it.

Those two 1/8" servo shims... do not use them! Everyone that has encountered a burned 2-4 band over some miles. Not what you want. As I have seen they're for very worn bands (bands VERY rarely burn up, I've seen some with 340-370k mi still look like new, seriously). Band problems occur from something else acting upon it... leaking servo, broken return spring, etc.

I have a stock pin in mine. I made a post over on GMfullsize about the pins when someone was asking about them a while back. I'll try to dig it up here for you. GM has three pin lengths.

Basically, like I just told the guy from Oregon Performance Transmission, I had just enough clearance in my cover to get the snap ring back on. I did not, however, measure the clearance when I was putting it all back together after installing my Corvette servo. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
