I have been on the site for a few months now just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Adam and Im addicted to modding older vehicles to LS family engines. LOL I reside in Elwood Indiana (about a hour north of Indy). I am a backyard wrenching shadetree mechanic. I have been working on cars since I was a little kid. I LOVE IT!! I dont have any formal training besides a few months of vocational auto mechanics in High School. I started just fixing cars and selling them and it moved into motor swaps and horse power builds. I had a 69 satellite with a 440 6 pack 4 speed for a short while as a kid that I built myself. Long story but when pulled the front wheels off the ground 12" with 7 other people packed in the car in front of my dads friends house the parentals said "SELL THE CAR!!!!" After that I bought a Camaroand have been enamored with Chevys ever since. They are cheaper to buy parts for, there are tons of parts available, and there is a huge aftermarket for them. Don't get me wrong the Satellite was AMAZING to drive around and theres nothing quite like the power of a built 440 but D@*$ was it expensive to do anything with!!!
I now own a 2004 Trailblazer LT in graphite gray (love that I6 but plan to do a LS swap on her if the I6 ever dies), a 2003 GTO in Impulse Blue Metallic, and now a 1996 2wd Burb that Im doing a LQ4 swap on. I am driving my brothers 2001 dodge extended cab short box 4x4 with a mild modded Cummins with a 5 speed. So the Burb has a lot of shoe to fill!! That Cummins is a awesome set up! IT WILL PULL ANYTHING!!! So thats me in a few paragraphs. Thanks in advance for all of your valuable information and taking the time to share it on here for others to get use of. I hope to be of help to anyone I can! if your nearby me and need a hand with anything to hesitate to ask!!
