    6.0 into a 99 RCLB

Hey guys, i've got a 1999 silverado 1500. its a great truck, it is a v6 and a long bed. Would i be stupid to in the future when i wear this motor out, put in a 6.0 liter and shorten the frame? How much work am i looking at?

Really! i may go ahead and build it and all then one day shorten the frame if i decide i dont like the long bed anymore. I just love the look of a short bed.

It wouldn't be stupid to put the 6.0 in, but it wouldn't be practical to shorten the frame...

well i talked with my father in law last night and he has his own business with about 20 trucks. He said he will sell my one of the RCSB with the 5.3 for pretty cheap price to get me started, so then i can keep my v6 long bed and i'll have a v8 short bed also.
